So – just a quick update really on how the recording has been going for the new album.  So far so good….!  We’ve all had a lot of fun in the studio and at the moment we have the basics of 9 of the songs done.  I am still working on the vocal and guitar tracks and have a lot of work to do mixing and doing overdubs before we are even close to finishing!  I think maybe another couple of days recording with the main band should finish off the basics, then I will bring in percussion and horns to go on top of some songs.  Backing vocals will then go on, then final mixing and mastering!

As you will probably know by now the tentative release date is 1st October, I don’t really have a working title yet but I will need to think of one soon because promotional copies will be sent out in July!  I’m also planning the first single release (my first official single!) either July or August, still to be decided, and I have got the perfect track in mind, it’s a summery surfy tune that will have you all smiling

So a quick update – the tour has been fantastic, met lots of great new people, caught up with lots of old fans and had a blast!  Food poisoning, snow, punk supports, the price of diesel and a few other things tried to kill us off BUT WE SURVIVED! hahahaaa

So – off to Spain tomorrow to headline a small R&B Festival, back Sunday then next week (Weds 7th) the last official tour gig which is at the Borderline in London.  Really looking forward to the show, I know people are coming from all over for it and it promises to be a total blast.

Had an interesting conversation this week about a new Blues magazine from a major publisher that is launching soon – they have asked if they can do a double page feature on me – really excited about doing it, should be a great article!  I’ll keep you posted!

And lastly we have some great festival enquiries coming in – I can’t put them all on the gigs page yet as we have to keep to their announcement schedules but I am really looking forward to them all!   Once the festival season is over we have plans for another UK tour around Sept/Oct time so please do sign up to the mailing list (all over the website!) and we can send you the news directly!
